The person turning a network into a Mexican institution.

Andrea is a bilingual international-program and operations leader with more than seven years of experience in STEM education, humanitarian response, fundraising, communications, and social impact. Since joining YTC in August 2024, she has directed strategy and operations across seven countries and seventeen schools while building the training, monitoring, evaluation, and accountability systems that allow a volunteer-powered organization to deliver consistently.

Her résumé reflects unusual range: coordinating three refugee-assistance centers and more than eighty international volunteers at the Poland–Ukraine border; leading communications across nine international offices; documenting education programs in rural Yucatán; raising funds; managing grant budgets; and guiding multicultural teams through difficult work.

At YTC, that experience has become connective tissue. Andrea works across languages, institutions, schedules, classrooms, and borders so educators can teach, partners can contribute, and students can become the next teachers.

Build YTC Mexico to belong in Mexico.

Andrea is leading the work to establish YTC’s nonprofit status in Mexico. That legal and operational foundation will let the Mexico network raise support, form partnerships, and grow with greater independence—while remaining connected to YTC’s international learning community.

Funds raised locally should stay local.

When a Mexican business, family, or institution supports YTC, those resources should serve young people in the donor’s own communities—supporting Mexican educators, student-teachers, equipment, and future learning centers.

Securing Andrea’s full-time leadership is the first step toward making that principle durable.

Partners across Mexico and the United States are ready to connect classrooms, local knowledge, mentors, curriculum, and equipment. Andrea provides the coordination that allows those separate commitments to function as one locally rooted network.

Computers, robotics kits, cameras, projectors, connectivity, and the practical tools students need to learn by building.

Prepare the people.

Train local facilitators and student-teachers so weekly instruction, mentoring, and technical support live inside each community.

Make Andrea’s role full-time so the growing Mexico network has the daily direction, accountability, and continuity it requires.
